Ballito, just 30km from Durban, is a popular destination with backpackers and budget travellers. This stretch of coastline is also known as the Dolphin Coast because many of these beautiful creatures can be seen frolliking in the waters.

Visit the Sangweni Tourism Centre for handmade local crafts or King Shaka's burial site at the King Shaka Visitors Centre for some culture. Or compare teeth at he Crocodile Creek and Reptile Park, with the opportunity to touch small crocs and snakes before hitting a few rounds at the five golf courses available.
