Here visitors will discover peaceful landscapes of beautiful azure blue waters edged by white sandy beaches. The (almost) year round sunshine, safe waters and reliable winds make Langebaan a mecca for kite surfers, wind surfers, kayakers, fishermen and yachtsmen.
The tidal mud flats of the lagoon attract thousands of migrant birds every year, including the striking resident flamingos who are regularly seen.

Easy on the soul.
Langebaan boasts a moderate climate with cool air and long sunlit days. In winter it’s rarely cold and the long summer days are never unbearably hot.

The West Coast National Park is worth a visit for its fauna and flora. It’s also where “Eve’s Footprint” (one of the earliest signs of human existence on the planet) was discovered. The region’s ancient history can be further enjoyed through a visit to the fascinating West Coast Fossil Park just outside of town.

Horse riding is a popular and viewing the town from the water’s edge is a must - so make sure that you book yourself a lagoon cruise.
